I'm so less excited about this movie since Vixen isn't going to be in it, but it's too bad Hardy will leave the film.

I'm not into Gyllenhaal and I would prefer if he went somewhere else.

I'm not. His involvement felt kinda iffy, bc the memory of mustache-twirling-British-English-speaking Bane is still fresh in my mind.

As long as Viola and Jai are there, I'll be xcited.

Is it just me or is Gyllenhaal in a different league than Hardy?

In name-recognition or talent, or...?

I like Gyllenhaal, too, but I think he brings a totally different vibe than Hardy would have.

In most respects, I guess. I can't imagine a scenario when a casting director wants one but settles for the other.

Or it seems like they wanted Jake, got Tom and now they are getting their first choice again.

Some casting rumors from a "source":

Joel Edgerton and Jon Bernthal are being considered to replace Tom Hardy.

Gary Sinise (ugh) has been cast in a role that probably isn't General Eiling or Deathstroke.

Joe Manganiello is being considered for Deathstroke (mmmhmm gimme).

I think Bernthal is gonna get the part bc of Fury.

Deathstroke should go to Stephen Lang. You need a silver daddy for the role.

The Suicide Squad film might have finally found its flag-bearer.

The French movie news site Allocine is quoting Joel Kinnaman as confirming he will be playing a role in the upcoming Suicide Squad film. Kinnaman doesn't say what his role will be, but recent rumors placed him as the replacement for Tom Hardy in the role of Rick Flag.

"All I can say is that I will be in the movie, and it's going to be amazing," says Kinnaman, according a translated article from Allocine.

Suicide Squad is scheduled for release August 5, 2016, with filming set to begin in April. The movie is directed by David Ayer, and stars Jared Leto as the Joker, Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robie as Harley Quinn and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
