My first reaction was: I don't know what to make of this. It was so generically horror-y, but not bad; it was obviously hot on the heels of principal shooting juuust ending, which was visible, but that was OK. Right in the middle, but a small plus modifier because of general optimism for the IP.

After I unpacked it a bit and read Boone's interview, I felt way more positive about it. He had promising things to say about the over-all vision, ranging from how X-Men/New Mutants-y it will be, to his love of the real Elm Streets, good Wes Craven stuff.

My feeling is Fox wanted a teaser RIGHT NOW, and they kinda shat one out. And, it's an OK one. But, we'll probably see a real one over the holidays - after Thor 3, Star Wars 8, and Infinity War trailer hype cool down a little.
