thoughts on the new student and his powers? I think it'll be interesting visually going forward, but part of me kinda just sighs whenever we get a character with a user friendly "Telepathy/Telekinesis Lite".

But maybe the House of Ideas really is drained

Jubes isn't interesting, but this will be fun otherwise.

Too much going on with Jubes - vampire, de/re-powered mutant(?), single mom, student-becoming-the-teacher, and mourning dead X-Men. It just becomes noise.

The student/teacher and mourning bits should be/are solid places to start. Shogo is a parasite.

I got Peter Chug/Aeion Flux vibe from the art and I like it.

First issue was okay, but it doesn't introduce completely the new guy. He's just a guy that witnesses how wacky JGS bunch of kids are and decides not to stay with crazy mutant ppl.

Bling! punching Quentin Queer was satisfying on so many levels.

NXM Emma flashback was ethereal.

I like to think Strain will set Kitty on a path to become POTUS. That's the impression I got from how good Strain wrote her.

I look forward to reading this series in the future and hope Amilcar will be on this for the long run 'cause he's 70% satisfaction.

I'M SOLD! This is the flagship X-book for me.

Quentin turning the room upside down might be this book's theme? It's a pleasant aesthetic for it, given Aeon Flux vibes the art has. And the lecture Jubula gave the students with the tagline facing students YOU SUCK. Perfect.

Purifiers were quickly disposed, and it wasn't a surprise. The journey to it mattered. Seeing Kitty haul students off the battlefield gives a statement about her directorial policy, but I just don't understand it. She cannot teach mutant students in the controlled environment about violence, protection and diplomacy of mutant human relations when you have bigots and zealots turning up on your doorstep wanting to kill you.

Will school's new public location attract more open attacks on it? Will humans in the park be collateral damage to it?

Strain has found a great voice for Quentin. I esp liked the time bit at the beginning. And his more proactive defense regarding Purifiers. Okay, Jubula, they are not meat puppets, but mutants are meat sacks who die out of Purifier weapons when shot with it. And did Deeds just hit on Quentin? And Quentin liked it? That smile tells too much.

I wonder what did Kitty do? Did she runaway from a battle, seeing how Quentin solved everything in the end?

Bling! was awesome and it feels like I'm reading Milligan's Roxxy.

I love Strain for being mum about janitor's secret. It's the things like this that makes me to want the next issue stat!

Running gag for the series should be: WHO HITS QUENTIN QUIRE THIS ISSUE?
Last issue was Bling!, this issue Ink...

Nature Girl feels like a Disney Princess to me: she has her animal friends doing her chores/errands/bidding for her.

Even though I don't like Dodsons this was a nice cover.

Janitor is Andre Mexer.

Is Strain's QQ not just slightly too edgy?

Thanks for the heads up, Prof Eggy. I'm not familiar with the character at all. And him being obscure, I can worship Strain's writing even more.

Idk. He's the right amount of QQ I can digest after Aaron's InYourFaceSmartassDumbass QQ.

Wow the XMen 'hiring' a brainwashed orphan brazilian boy THEY brought to NY is rlly a good look I love it.

Writer tryna course correct QQ characterization gives me hope. Ofc Eggy would have a problem with it.

The new school organization is stupid and makes the XMen look more and more like assholes. Ofc miss 'Im not a fighter ™ like you guys' would come up with this.

It may be in line with what Morrison's QQ was like, if you throw insufferably rich on top of it, but man, I could cut myself on the edge right now.

Jason Aaron had the right idea ( smile.gif ).
