What are you hoping for ?

Posted by: Kaiolino Jan 22 2016, 08:29 PM
Pre-Flashpoint continuity.

Posted by: Supernature Jan 22 2016, 08:44 PM
I want Batwoman back.
Wonder Woman not by FinchX2, they're awful.
Travel Foreman on art duties for something.
No more house style art, holy shit !
Batgirl Of Burnside continuing. Or just more non-miserable Barbara.
A well written, well drawn Superman book.
Vixen somewhere.

Posted by: Fod_2K16 Jan 22 2016, 10:03 PM
I don't know if I can give damn anymore.

All these line wide reboots that don't last. Marvel and DC unable to keep real talent on their books form more than short runs or not at all. Arbitrary costume changes.

This is why creator owned comics are selling as well as they do. People can't be invested in Superhero comics because they aren't about stories or characters anymore. They've been reduced to a product to be exploited for the current superhero comic movie trend.

That'd be nice

Posted by: AgentFeliX Jan 23 2016, 08:49 AM
It won't be Pre-Flashpoint though. It'll be some weird mix of shit that includes both Pre and Post Flashpoint timelines that appeases no one.

Maybe if we believe hard enough...?

Posted by: Green Griffin Jan 23 2016, 10:25 AM
I just don't care about anything DC or Marvel related, they're both shit and don't seem to care about changing.

Marvel: "We'll make everything to appeal to the (non-existent) movie crowd, and the tumblr crowd."

DC: "90's was a good time period for us, so lets make our books look and feel like it."

Take Brett Booth off of the flash, his art is worse than Rob Liefeld's.

Posted by: Green Griffin Jan 23 2016, 10:28 AM
oh how could i forget.

Marvel: "Fuck anything that the house of Mouse doesn't own." *nukes the X-Men and FF*

I think we should just take most of GG's post and pin it the front page of the board. smile.gif

DC....maybe back to some period before Flashpoint...I don't know. Just can't get excited. The JLA comic right after the BIG reboot killed a tiny part of my soul.

They literally "PINGED"/DoSed Darkseid into submission.

Less stupid books, more thought provoking book.
Less writers of old glory, more new blood that want to amaze and do thought provoking books.
Less nostalgia, more change.

They turned that into an animated movie and it was EVEN WORSE. Possibly the worst animated DC ever.

"Take Brett Booth off of the flash, his art is worse than Rob Liefeld's."

I laughed so hard. I have been saying this for years. Brett Booth has the worst fucking art. Even in the 90's his art was horrendous by the era's low standards

I know you're referring to Hitch's JLA, which I agree on. But as someone who never read JL of any kind, but loved Geoff Johns work on Superman, GL, and Aquaman, I so so so wanted JL to work. But I just don't care. The first two arcs were fine, the Aquaman crossover was great, but everything since has been meh. The War crossover, Forever Evil, dead period in between, and now a huge New Gods focused event. So much meh.

So it looks like Rebirth won't be a hard reboot like Nu-52 but will refresh some titles while canceling others.

Looks like Tom King will be new writer for the rumored bi-weekly Batman.

"Batman/Superman," "Superman/Wonder Woman," "Grayson," "Starfire," "Black Canary," "Midnighter" and "Doctor Fate" may end before "Rebirth.

Grayson will probably become Nightwing. New Teen Titans book with Damian as the leader.

Rumored new titles - Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps, New Green Lantern, Man of Steel, The Super Man.

Peter Tomasi might be the new Superman writer.

Justice Society of America will focus on young heroes.

All of this according to CBR.

So Tim is dead or in limbo for sure sad.gif

Posted by: Satan Feb 2 2016, 02:07 PM
I might start reading Batman then. I've heard nothing but heaps of praise for Tom King's books, and Grayson's good.

Shame about Black Canary, I've been blown away by Annie Wu's talent. Crossing fingers that she does some new kewl book.

Posted by: Ted, Tedd, and Teddy Feb 2 2016, 02:59 PM
"Tim" is still headlining his own book with "Batman Beyond" teen Tim may just be brought back to the bat-line.

New Teen Titans with Damian leading is really weird but he's been going on a pretty great character journey these past few years so it could work.

Black Canary going back to BoP is great. I've heard great things about her solo and wish DC would keep that around as well but BoP needs to come back.

If Grayson really does end and King takes over a biweekly Batman then that could possibly mean more Spyral? Which Yay

Ugh, superman fans are soooo lucky to have Tomasi. The dude is a really solid writer and because he used to be an editor, he knows his way around cross-board continuity and how to implement in his stories.

JSA - I'm hearing it'll be like Titans Hunt but with old people and that's a bit weird but whatever.

Posted by: Green Griffin Feb 2 2016, 03:56 PM
I wonder if New Green Lantern will be about Kyle, Baz, or a whole new character.

I hope Seeley gets some more work.

All i want for this rebirth is to have fun DC books again, i hope they keep the New Suicide Squad team in tact, Black Manta is so great there.

Kyle is like a mega rainbow lantern or whatever. Guy is a red Lantern. Idk what's up with John & Hal but I think they're not actually assigned to earth and that's how Simon Baz became the new "earth" lantern.

Jessica Cruz is the power ring (earth 3) wielder. She came into possession of it after Forever Evil and she's been in the JL for awhile now learning how to use her new ring.

But again. I don't know much about the GL because I haven't been keeping up.

Oh well. To Huntress' point, Tim has been effectively dead for a little while now.

I hope they put Nightwing back in the blue and black suit.

Posted by: Green Griffin Feb 2 2016, 06:43 PM
Not only that, but i hope most of the heroes get their old costumes back. Aquaman, Jordan, and Superman look like 90's trash. Wonder Woman just needs to be away from the Finches.

Weird, I didn't notice the choker on the Jim Lee WW redesign. I generally liked that design, so I really should have noticed that detail.

YASSSSS @ Tom King on Batman. I'd be really excited if this turns out to be true !
I haven't heard anything bad about Tomasi so, I'm gonna choose to be optimistic. I'd like to enjoy Superman again LOL. Could Man Of Steel be about Steel ?
Damian in TT could be cool. That book / concept is in serious need of something fresh. He might bring the drama.

Soooooooo, I think they took the long way around doing it, but DC might be replacing New 52 Superman with Old Superman after Rebirth.

I didn't notice this but I grabbed Superman #51 which is the first issue of any Supes titles I've read since before DC YOU. And they're hinting he's dying which, yea, yawn, ok.

But then I saw the note on CBR and pulled up Superman: Rebirth #1. It's starring the pre-52 Supes that's been starring in the Dan Jurgens mini-series with Lois Lane and a son.

QUOTE
Superman: Rebirth #1"The world needs a Man of Steel, but can Superman protect the world while raising a super-son with his wife, Lois Lane?

IT BEGINS: Now it's Clark's turn to be Pa Kent and teach his son what it means to be super, but who is hunting Superman's son—and why?"

QUOTE
Superman #1 “THE SON OF SUPERMAN” Chapter One

The Last Son of Krypton must decide whether to help his young son use his new and rapidly increasing abilities, or hide them from the world.

THE CREATORS: The team supreme that brought fans the adventures of Damian Wayne in BATMAN AND ROBIN returns for the adventures of Superman and his offspring.

RIP New 52 Superman?

Sorry Wonder Woman.

What happens with 2 Lois Lanes?

Posted by: Kaiolino Apr 7 2016, 06:38 AM

Wonder Woman still has the best costume.

Superman needed to keep the red boots. Those steel cuffs on him are rubbish

Wtf is with Aquaman's redesign? Absolutely terrible.

Superlad reminds me of my superman Halloween costume when I was Six years old. Does his cape stay on with Velcro?

Weren't these nu52 books supposed to make it to 52 issues? Wasn't that the gimmick?

Any Titans experts who can inform me of the differences in the lineups of Titans and Teen Titans? Is it like having a team of the the 80s X-Men as grownups and also Generation Hope? Or something?

Posted by: Kaiolino May 25 2016, 11:47 AM
Yes, the Titans are the grown-up Teen Titans from the '80s (and '60s and '70s). The Teen Titans are the current generation of teenage heroes and legacy characters, except for Beast Boy (who keeps being deaged) and Starfire (who was on the '80s Teen Titans and will serve as a mentor figure in the upcoming Teen Titans).

Basically, Titans is New Mutants v3 and Teen Titans is New X-Men.

@Kai, thanks for the recommendation. Read Titans Hunt today. I feel as a non-Titans reader i wasn't the target audience, but I enjoyed it. Seems like an interesting way to patch up these characters being hidden or not knowing about their backgrounds. Def going to pick up both new books, and might research some old classic arcs, if anyone has any recommendations.

The atoms are buzzing. The daydreams crowd sentient streets, and the creative team has been warned, “Turn back now or suffer the mighty consequence of sheer, psycho-maniacal mayhem.” Generation-arsonists unite—this is DOOM PATROL, and the God of the Super Heroes is bleeding on the floor.

A blenderized reimagining of the ultimate series of the strange, DOOM PATROL combines elements from classic runs, new directions, and things that could not be. Our entry point is Casey Brinke, a young EMT on the graveyard shift to abstract enlightenment, with a past so odd that she’s not entirely sure what is real and what is not. Along with her partner, Sam Reynolds, the pair blaze a path through the city and its denizens, finding the only quiet that exists at 3am is the chaos of the brain. When the pair answer a hit-and-run call, they find themselves face to face with a familiar figure: Cliff Steele, AKA Robotman.

“It gets weirder from here,” writer Gerard Way had to say about the book, with artist Nick Derington gripping tightly on the wheel of the ambulance. The pair’s only communication? Shouting out of the open windows while at high velocity. Who needs a new roommate? Who names a cat “Lotion”? And when do we get to see all those muscles?

Find your answers inside the pages of this comic book, as we set the stage for new beginnings, as well as the re-introduction of some classic DOOM PATROL characters, including Niles Caulder, Negative Man, Flex Mentallo, and Crazy Jane.

The debut title of DC’s Young Animal line kicks off with a removable sticker on its cover: Pull back the gyro to reveal its secrets, but be warned—there is no turning back.

Agreed. Also how did the Gordon line about masks slip by editorial after a year of Gordon being Batman?

I'm not liking Batman so far, i don't know if it's the writing, or Finch being an awful artist.

Also Batman's line about not trusting Alfred, i hope was a joke.

Both Superman titles continue to be my favorites of Rebirth so far.

I liked Supes, but the first issue of Action threw me off. Clark's decision to suit up right there was really ooc and out of left field.

I look forward to reading New Superman, looks interesting.

Posted by: Green Griffin Jul 20 2016, 08:04 PM
How was Yang's Superman run prior to Rebirth?

Because New Superman was such a boring read with really awful art.

Posted by: Satan Jul 23 2016, 03:02 PM
Wonder Woman is yawnsome. It tries to be alll pseudo-philosophical-meta, but it rings very shallow/hollow/corny in the end. Present artist doesn't wow me in the least.

Posted by: Green Griffin Jul 30 2016, 11:06 PM
I think DC might want to stop the double issues a month route.

Action Comic's art suffered from this.

Posted by: Green Griffin Aug 9 2016, 02:05 AM
Superman continues to be the best comic of Rebirth.

Batman is starting to get interesting, hopefully the Monster Men crossover doesn't derail any momentum it has right now.

Suicide Squad was a good little one shot to lead into the title.

Nightwing is fun, i'm really liking Raptor.

Posted by: Green Griffin Aug 16 2016, 01:14 PM
All Star Batman was fun, probably JrJR's best DC work.

Action Comics needs to finish this Doomsday arc already.

Flash is still pretty good, i like it, but i'm kinda tired of the speedforce storm story.

Superwoman was really fun, i loved the first issue.

Deathstroke was alright, the art was really good.

Wonder Woman is a bore to get through.

Posted by: Filthy Mutie Aug 16 2016, 02:02 PM
Wonder Woman: The hardest book to write in comics.

Posted by: Green Griffin Aug 17 2016, 02:46 AM
I think Rucka soured on me if the whole Cho debacle is true.

Posted by: Supernature Aug 17 2016, 04:05 AM
I agree about Superwoman. It was great imo.

Wonder Woman feels SO decompressed.

Posted by: Green Griffin Aug 21 2016, 07:47 PM
Superman continues to be the best title of Rebirth, Lois in a Bat-mech was fun.

Batman feels like it's running in place at this point.

Nightwing is fun, despite Barbara Gordon Batgirl being there.

Suicide Squad was good, splitting the book up with a main story and a character spotlight is a good idea to give Lee time to draw, hopefully he just gets replaced by Fabok, who's art was much better than Lee's this issue.

Supergirl was alright, i don't know if i'll keep up with this series, feels like DC trying it's hardest to meld it's comic Supergirl with it's CW version. The art was fantastic though.

Posted by: Green Griffin Sep 12 2016, 09:47 PM
Batman #6 might be the best issue in King's Batman work so far.

Nightwing continues to be the best bat book.

Superman was good, i'm glad we're finally done with the Eradicator. Like Action, this arc went on too long.

Supergirl was a really boring read with some fun art. Probably won't continue this or i'll just give the first arc a go.

Future Quest is great, i just wish it would pick up the pace already.

Posted by: Supernature Sep 14 2016, 02:53 PM
I really like what Tomasi is doing with Superman tbh.

Superwoman was all over the place this week but I'm still here for it.

I don't know what to make of Doom Patrol #1...

Posted by: AgentFeliX Sep 22 2016, 07:26 AM
Can't remember if someone mentioned this already, but DC is absolutely throttling Marvel in sales.

Dick Grayson is my favorite Batman character. Heck, he's probably my favorite DC character. I don't know much about Wonder Woman to be honest, but I like her more than Superman and Batman.

I still recommend Grant Morrison's All-Star Superman and Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth.

If it hasn't come up outright, I think it's an understood thing washing through Marvel fandom - a fandom that, I think, hopes this starts to signal Marvel's reconsideration of their current trajectory.

Aside from the Marvel-ness, it's good to see better books and better sales actually coinciding.

Posted by: Green Griffin Sep 22 2016, 07:46 PM
Action Comics #963 - Glad Patrick Zircher is back on art, but i just don't care about Clark Kent.

Flash #6 - This book is really starting to become great, i love Godspeed, but minor complaint, he feels like TV show Zoom.

Suicide Squad #2 - Still a fun book, actual shocking death (if it sticks) and the back up story with Ivan Reis on art was both fun and sad.

Superwoman #2 is fantastic, its the book Kelly Sue Deconnick's Captain Marvel wished it was. It's not afraid to show it's main character as a flawed person who is dealing with depression. (Did Kelly Sue ever bring up Carol's past as an Alcoholic?)

Doom Patrol #1 was......confusing to say the least. The art is great, but i've never been more out of the loop with a first issue as this one. I hope it makes sense in later issues.

Still need to finish Wonder Woman, All-Star Batman, and Deathstroke.

Posted by: Green Griffin Sep 26 2016, 04:59 PM
Wonder Woman #6 - Probably the best issue of the series.

Deathstroke #2 - Very good read, the first time i cared about reading a comic featuring Deathstroke.

Batman #7 (Pt. 1 of the Monster Men crossover) - Bare bones first issue for a crossover, I wish Rossmo was the permanent artist instead of Finch, his panels are great.

Nightwing #5 (pt 2 of Monster Men crossover) - Normal people vs Monsters, this is where Seeley shines. The art was confusing in some of the panels though.

Trinity #1 - Fun and pure first issue, art is fantastic.

Superman #7 - Nice little one shot showing Superman life at home.

Posted by: Green Griffin Oct 5 2016, 08:55 PM
Action Comics #964 - Glad we're past this Superman meets Clark Kent stuff. (at least i hope so)

Deathstroke #3 - the art was really fun this issue, like the relationship between Rose and Slade, can't wait to see what it builds to.

Detective Comics #941 - I just want this crossover to be over already.

Flash #7 - I really like Godspeed, i can see him appearing in the next season of Flash.

Suicide Squad #3 - still liking this series, i just wish the main story wasn't so short because Jim Lee can't draw a full issue.

Teen Titans #1 - That Jonboy guy is a pretty great artist.

Wonder Woman #7 - After a good issue 6, we get back to WW vs dime store Swamp Thing.

Posted by: Green Griffin Oct 12 2016, 09:05 PM
Superman #8 - Continues to be one of the best books of Rebirth.

Batman #8 - (part 4 of Monster Men) Art is great, i'm tired of this crossover.

Nightwing #6 - (Part 5 of Monster Men) Only one more issue of the crossover!

Batman #9 - King isn't doing anything for me. And that last page is such a clusterfrak.

Posted by: Kaiolino Oct 19 2016, 07:56 AM
King lost me when he shaved Gotham Girl. The premise of the upcoming arc seemed exciting. Sad to hear it's not living up to its promise.

Posted by: Satan Oct 19 2016, 08:00 AM
I was pretty excited to jump on Batman's SS raiding Santa Prisca, but save for one nice twist, this issue hasn't lived up to my expectations at all.

I thought that was King's best issue of Batman where it followed Gotham Girl as she showed her problems with depression.

I'm gonna be real sad when they kill her off for shock value, she's been the only good thing in King's Batman run.

Posted by: Satan Dec 7 2016, 03:14 PM
Batman #12 - It hasn't mustered any reaction from me other than boredom. Useless double pages, useless Batman beats everyone even though he should be pretty exhausted from previous issues, boring letter, boring sentence construction, dynamic and cutting, boring ending. Bye bye King's Batman. I'm getting off this train.

Anybody else reading Shade the Changing Girl? I like it.

Really excited for the upcoming Super-Sons, Justice League of America, and Batwoman.

I'm not excited for anything. sad.gif

Anyone reading Detective? Finally catching up on it. I REALLY like the idea of grouping most of the bat sidekicks and spinoffs into one book. It's great to see them interact together and helps balance out the whole "he's supposedly a loner but has this huge extended batfamily" thing. It's very Wolverine to the X-Men. Part of me wishes it had some heavier hitters in Nightwing and Batgirl involved as well. But it's pretty fun as is. Just finished the first issue following the monster crossover.

Posted by: Satan Mar 15 2017, 06:19 AM
I only read Victim Syndcate and liked it. Was sad that Alvaro Martinez didn't do the whole arc, 'cause he draws pretty.

It's weird but ASB Ends of the Earth really agrees with me. But this last issue I don't know what I read or what is Snyder trying to say. Kinda excited to see who's the mastermind in question. But not too much.

Nightwing #17: LOVE JAVIER FERNANDEZ's NIGHTWING. It doesn't hurt that Seeley riffs off Morrison's Batman and Robin.

Posted by: Satan Apr 9 2017, 05:55 AM
Nightwing #18: BIG DADDY IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I detest saying this sentence (bc I hate it with the power of thousand suns when someone else says it for any artist and character) BUT Javier Fernandez was born to draw Nightwing.

Yes, he was a bit lazy this issue with the faces and backgrounds. Movements and body language he puts on the pages save all of that.

My heart wept for Dinesh. sad.gif

I used to read 0 DC titles
Now I care about:
Hanna Barbera stuff
Young Animals: DOOM PATROL, SHADE THE CHANGING GIRL, MOTHER PANIC
Wildstorm
Kamandi Challenge
Super Sons (I knew about Damien, but I never really read his arc)
JLA with LOBO (my favorite character, I identify with him, only I am less subtle)
Deathstroke (PRIEST)
New Superman

I also liked Deadman mini.

So yeah, I consider rebirth a success so far, because I started caring more about their comics than Usagi Yojimbo, which is a feat. But then again, I only wait for Trades with Usagi. And I don't read Hellboy anymore, because it got really boring.

All Star Batman #9: What a perfect ending!

I judged the preview with my righteous anger about how Afua was dropped out of penciling duties and replaced with Jock, but after reading this Jock was the right choice for the finale. He did the beginning and he must've done the end with the story Snyder wrote. Yesterday I found out Afua couldn't do the issue bc she broke her arm sad.gif

This issue delicately ties a nice bow over the whole arc while riffing of a whole meta theme of Batman as a concept and a story. Batman, the magician, the demon, the illusionist that always wins in the end. BatGod the Impossible.

After rereading the whole story I love and forgive whole Snyder explanabrags and infodump bc it reminds me why I fell in love with BTAS and comics in the first place: the education of science of it all.

The last page was flawless, when you take into consideration the first pages of three previous issues, Ra's vision of the end and today's selfie/smartphone culture. Perfect 10.

Nightwing #19: I'm not eager reading about Dick's girlfriend being pregnant, but I'm willing to plow it through for Seeley and Javier's bamf art. Nothing special about the issue.

Posted by: Satan Jun 21 2017, 12:21 PM
Batman #25: Like a battered wife, I came back to my drunk husband, aka Tom King.

Nice start of this blockbuster, but it's funny that this is all post-coital story about how Brucie did something very bad.

I detest Janin, but what I'mgonnadoboutit? Nuthin'.

Buff, nimble and quick pimp Eddie misses the whole point of the character, but whatevs. The way he escaped past the guards is the quintessence of him. Nice conundrum he verbally demonstrated to Jokester, and it's really pretty plot start.

It's very bumming me out that the more blood and gore, the more awesome *NOT!* Batman story is nowadays. King's sometimes deliberate use of simple words to heighten the drama leaves me absolutely cold.

I hope his Mr Miracle might be my shining beacon of love for the 4th World.

Wonder Woman #24: Heartbreaking.

Posted by: Satan Jun 21 2017, 02:03 PM
All Star Batman #11: This issue pumped up my inner action junkie. There just isn't room for the story to breathe and it's BAM BAM BAM BAM!!!!

Hush is an added heart palpitation! <3

Posted by: Satan Jun 30 2017, 11:03 AM
Suicide Squad #20: I have so much warm, snuggly and fuzzy feelings for Stjepan Šejić and his art.

Kudos to Williams for onlookers and passers getting crazy to kill Croc. XD

Wonder Woman #25: Sweet ending, but it doesn't add lick of sense as to what Rucka wanted to say with Lies, Truth and missing Themyscira. I need to reread whole run to properly judge.

Posted by: Satan Jul 5 2017, 11:07 PM
Batman #26: Corpses, corpses, corpses. Hype double page spread! Wowza. King wasted an issue for nothing but sad Brucie in boxers remembering all the dead ppl. sad.gif At least Janin buffed down Eddy. But King had to give him Joker 1989 plastic surgeon scene and psycho scarring.

All Star Batman #12: My fav Batman title. It was so so so so so freakin' good. And my Hush baby! Snyder, Albuquerque and Bellaire are giving me all the feels with ecstasy. i can't contain them all. They made a junkie out of me. Kudos to Stevie Wand for AotASP letters. Such a blast.

Posted by: Satan Jul 30 2017, 08:06 AM
Mother Panic #9: Leon crushed it. I love his art dearly.

Posted by: Satan Aug 2 2017, 08:16 AM
Nightwing #26: Since Fernandez is back, I circle back also :3
While characters sometime tend to loose features or get generic silhouettes/bodies, Javier certainly knows how to get dynamic on the page, or back up for the somber scenes.

Even though this only has 20 pages, it def felt like it had 50 pages with the brilliantly economic writing Seeley here provides. He deftly waves different spins like dealing with the loss, dealing with the past and dissecting Dick's relationships.

That hook at the end was amazing!

Batman #28: I. Just. Can't. And I won't anymore. I promise.

Posted by: Satan Sep 25 2017, 02:56 PM
Batman The Red Death: A comic where DKR Bruce acts like a stubborn petulant child and cries for his real and adopted family. The motivation for his coming to DC Multiverse and do lame JokeBats' bidding is nonexistent. Di Giandomenico slays, as usual.

Posted by: Satan Oct 4 2017, 01:27 PM
All Star Batman #14: Briar was vapid with his hate for softness rhetoric. Alfred clone didn't shock me. Ending was nice, but it didn't sweet me up, which I think might've be author's desirable effect.

Posted by: Satan Oct 5 2017, 07:05 AM
Harley and Ivy meet Betty and Veronica #1: Conner's cover is the only good thing about this.

JokeBats shippers were so blessed and lucky this week.

Batman: White Knight #1: Stupendous art. Okay writing. Meh ending.

Posted by: Satan Oct 12 2017, 11:27 AM
Mr Miracle #3: I hate Orion so much. Who does he think he is desecrating Granny's corpse? This book keeps my interest even if this issue didn't wow me.

Metal #3: I like the energy cosmology mechanism that Snyder is building from DC Universe History. Oblivion Bar was also a super sweet touch. Nightmare Batmen are such bores.

Posted by: AgentFelix Oct 12 2017, 12:40 PM
Are Metal and/or White Knight worth picking up? I've been blazing through Detective this week, which I've enjoyed since the reboot. I like the whole batcentric X-Men ripoff thing they got going.

Posted by: Satan Oct 12 2017, 01:12 PM
Metal is digestive batcentric classic DC Crisis horror action romp. Literally. If you like the sound of that check it out.

White Knight #1 is Sean Murphy art porn that speaks about BatJoker break up and Bat's relationship with Gotham and it's criminals. You know, the usual question: is Batman really changing the status quo or is he escalating criminal freaks? So his pissed off ex changes the status quo for him.

I only like Detective when Alvaro Martinez arts it.

Posted by: Satan Oct 19 2017, 05:37 AM
Batman #33: It takes Joelle Jones to depict orgy scene with Talia and I'm a slave to King's book. What a cheap [lady of the night] I am.

Posted by: Ted, Tedd, and Teddy Oct 19 2017, 08:08 AM
Loved it. The only real complaint I have about the art is that Damian looks exactly like Tim. He's even the same height. No

The only real problem I have with king's batcat is that Bruce is calling selina "cat" that's not him. He always calls her Selina. That more personal for him.

Posted by: Satan Oct 19 2017, 09:30 AM
They are trying to take Holly back, right?

The only complaint I have about the art is that unnecessary two page desert spread. What a waste. If there was a better colorist, he could've saved it, but alas it wasn't meant to be. He could've cut the desert scene for one splash page and use the other splash for the orgy.

Loved Tiger in it and his trademark line smile.gif)))

Bat Cat calling was stupid for me from the start. I get King is trying to make it their pet name thing, but lose it Tom.

Posted by: Ted, Tedd, and Teddy Oct 19 2017, 12:01 PM
Yes, I was living for my baby Tiger's cameo and they even did a cutaway to his boyfriend, Dick.

Bat/Cat is stupid but moreso on Bruce's part, I think. Selina calling him "Bat" or "Bats" is something that's totally within her personality and vernacular to do so. In fact, it's something that she has called him on occasion. The "cat" thing was cute as a one-off but not for real.

Also, I'm wary of where this is going for the Batfam's reactions. They all know Selina and (kinda) like her. So there really shouldn't that much outcry against them from the Batfam's POV, but those Wayne Manor scenes were weird.

Posted by: Satan Oct 19 2017, 12:15 PM
I didn't get weird reaction from the family.

Dami was being lil miss drama which is his forte as far as his age, upbringing and things that concern his father are. Idk why he cried, tho? Is he crying bc Talia is gonna go to war with Bats?

Jason was being an ass, which is his personality.

Dickie was reserved.

Cutaway to Tigers boy was the most beautiful thing rendered, after orgy ofc. Orgy no1.

Posted by: Satan Oct 19 2017, 12:48 PM
Jordie colored this? I'm sorry for slandering her work, but she can do better.

The dialogue isn't bendis level terrible, stop. Lol, once again it works better for Selina because of her character. Bruce, notsomuch. But it's cute that he tries with her. It doesn't need to be a thing but it's cute.

Posted by: Satan Nov 2 2017, 12:47 PM
That page alone is Bendis level nausea. That page alone, you traitor.

Issue was okay, though nothing happened xcept hard workout in the desert. And Talia being cheapskate on words. She was breathtakingly beautiful. All praises and celebration festivities upon Joelle Jones and her family.

What happened to Tiger? Where did he go? I was hoping to see more of him.
