well the X-Men ones def do look stupid. There aren't any decent ones with like a cover printed on the chest or anything. The best ones have some shitty Jim Lee 90's art.
I'd die for a tshirt covered in classic Uncanny covers.

Invest the money in my game instead or buy something comfy from Jack&Jones.

because shitty quality? Or just cuz they actually look stupid irl?

A little of both?

I think if you want to get away with this as an adult then it should just be a top with an iconic symbol like Superman's S or Batman's logo. Adult men can pull those off sometimes. Just a classic printed tee.

The ones you posted seem way more for kids and have a bit too much going on.

I don't understand, is that a website or are you telling me to buy the book by BKV or am I missing something else...

The BKV comic that I am losing my shit over because it's so good. There are better websites out there that sell this kind of merchandise. Do a Google search.

I have a ridiculous-looking Wolverine hoodie with which I like to embarrass myself and those who know me.

I would go with more subtle comic book inspired clothing. Logos, color scheme, etc..

And maybe one or two t-shirts that are made from actual comic book covers.

The sleeves are a little different but pretty much that, yeah.

Actually so's the mask. It's a single black piece.

All of this is much better. Even the child's Wolverine hoodie is pretty badass. http://i.imgur.com/rUTrks9.gif
